Data Journalist
I'm an award-winning data reporter based in New York who uses code to report health, science, and tech stories at The Washington Post. I've led investigations into dietitian influencers, subminimum wages paid to disabled workers, RFK Jr.'s anti-vaccine rhetoric, compulsive use of TikTok, and declining vaccination rates in the US. My work has won a SABEW award and NCDJ's Katherine Schneider disability reporting award, and I have been a finalist for Goldsmith and NIHCM awards for investigative reporting in 2025 and 2026. Previously, I worked at the Financial Times & Reuters. For my PhD work on songbird brains, I studied genomics, language development, neuroethology, developmental neurobiology and evolution.

U.S. vaccination rates are plunging. Look up where your school stands.
